y + : = ϋ
y + ' + : = ΰ

Extension updated for Firefox 3.5

The extension is now updated for Firefox 3.5. I have also modified the source code in order to prevent conflicts with other addons that may be installed by users.
Link is here

For all of you asking of the source code and/or mods you can always modify it by yourself, if you want to, this way:

  • Download the extension (right click -> Save as...). This creates a .xpi file.

  • Rename the file extension from .xpi to .zip

  • Unzip this file with winzip or some other unpacking software.

  • You will have a chrome folder and a file named install.rdf.

  • Enter the chrome folder

  • You will file a file named grktext.jar

  • Rename the file extension from .jar to .zip

  • Unzip this file with winzip or some other unpacking software.

  • You have now 2 folders named content (the source code) and skin (the css and images)

Modify everything as you wish !

Extension updated for Firefox 1.5

I have updated my firefox extension again (now it's 0.4). I had to change the name of the extension (it is now "Greek textbox 0.4") because the UID was not compatible with the new version of Firefox. At least, the automatic search for the updates using Firefox 1.5 works now !

The extension (updated) is here

Extension updated

I have updated my firefox extension (now it's 0.2). I have added two buttons before the textbox for easy "copy the text" and "clear the textbox" function. I saw that the extension does not "show" that there is an update. I have to correct this in future (0.3) version. Till then you have to check for update by yourself . Sorry :-(

Firefox extension : Greeklish converter

I have developed an extension for Mozilla Firefox for all the Greek-speaking people that hates using the greeklish (what's that ? see here for details). It's a simple toolbar that automatically 'translates' the entered characters in greek (following a certain scheme of cource). The name of the extension is grktext and you can find it here. It's licensed under GPL and you can modify it to meet your needs (some other language translation perhaps). It's in an early state but it is ok for now. I will upgrade it when i will find a little time for it. For any suggestions go ahead and add a comment here.

Firefox extension : Greeklish converter ( Greek description)

A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away...

Well, this is my first post. I've decided to make one because i don't like having a webpage which i should make everything from the start (layout, graphics etc.). For entering simple infos and links a blog is the best way. By the way, i am Greek and i live in Italy. This means that sometimes you could find something writen in Greek or Italian here. If i find that the info could be interesting for the english-speaking people i will translate it. Anyway, here i am.
